WELCOME
Knoll Farm is a private boarding farm in DeSoto, TX. DeSoto is a suburb
located just south of Dallas.
The main barn has 12 stalls with oversized 12x14 and 12x16 stalls which are
fully matted. Each stall has independent water, lighting and cooling fan.
The entire barn is insulated and the outer four stalls on each end are heated
so that the barn can be climate controlled. There is a flyspray system to
keep the barn free of insects. The main barn also has a wash rack with hot
and cold water. There is a second barn with 10x10 stalls.
The owners of Knoll Farm live on-site, and the barn manager lives in an
apartment in the main barn. The owners and the barn manager have
extensive experience with horses. As past and present boarders will attest,
your horse is in excellent hands while at Knoll Farm.
There are 8 separate paddocks with a ½ mile riding track between the
paddocks. There are cross country type jumps on the track. Each paddock
has its’ own independent water supply, and by keeping the paddocks supplied
with round bales, our paddocks do not become overgrazed. The fencing is
excellent and horse safe, and the paddocks have inclement weather shelter.
The lighted arena is 104’x200’ with a 4” deep sand base for excellent
footing. The arena is kept groomed and in excellent shape. It is set up so
that it can be used for English or Western type events, or just for riding.
Directly across the street from the farm are some nice trails when you’d
like to get off the farm and stretch your horse’s legs out.
There is a large 60’ covered and lighted roundpen. The roundpen is solid
walled so your horse’s attention will be only on you. The roundpen also has a
4” deep sand base to provide excellent footing for your horse.
There is also a hotwalker available for use to cool down or exercise your
horse.
